Zizyphus Joazeiro trees grow up to 15 metres in height, with waxy leaves, yellow flowers and small, round edible fruits, which are rich in vitamin C. The extract, which comes from the inner bark of the tree, is rich in saponins, making it a detergent and foaming agent, with antibacterial properties.
