Recommended for 4M+

Starting solids is one of the most exciting milestones, but for many parents it also comes with the fear of choking.

That’s why we created the Baby-Led™ Gumline Feeder + Ice Tray, the first-ever feeder designed not just for safety, but for teaching your baby how to chew. Learning to chew (and not swallow food whole) can reduce choking risk and make mealtimes less stressful.

Food Placement

Most traditional feeders rest on the tongue, which encourages sucking instead of chewing. The Gumline Feeder is uniquely designed to guide food exactly where chewing begins - the gumline. With strategically placed holes, food is released right where your baby’s teeth will eventually emerge.

This placement encourages your baby to practice munching and chewing motions from the start. This critical design difference helps your baby learn to lateralize their tongue to keep the food (and feeder) in place while they build their swallowing skills.

Tricky Foods

Parents often hesitate to serve table foods, meat, seafood, or potentially allergenic foods because of choking concerns. Yet these are the very foods babies benefit from exploring early and often (from both a nutrition and allergy prevention perspective).

The Gumline Feeder makes it easier to introduce trickier textures that can be challenging to prepare and serve. With the Gumline Feeder you can offer these foods with confidence, as your baby is consuming the nutrients safely while practicing real chewing skills.

Frozen Foods

Want to make feeding even simpler? Pair the Baby-Led™ Gumline Feeder with the Ice Tray. This compact, easy-to-use tray allows you to freeze breast milk, formula, or purees into perfect portions that slide right into the feeder. The Ice Tray helps you prepare food in advance and store it safely for when your baby is ready to practice their chewing skills.

Together, the Baby-Led™ Gumline Feeder and Ice Tray take the stress out of first foods and turn it into an opportunity for growth, exploration, and fun. They’re not just feeding tools, they’re developmental solutions that help babies build the oral skills for baby-led weaning.

Here are some tips and tricks for cleaning your ezpz products!

All of our products are tested by an independent 3rd party laboratory and comply with all applicable CPSC and FDA regulations and standards (including dishwasher safety).

Here are some recommendations for keeping your ezpz products good as new:

  • Clean your item(s) with warm, soapy water instead of the dishwasher; we recommend using unscented, non-oily soaps and detergents. Dish soaps that contain essential oils, antibacterial agents and moisturizers stick to silicone and can leave a soapy after-taste.
  • Use the steam and dry settings on your dishwasher and ensure that there is enough distance between the item(s). Space will allow the dishwasher to clean the detergent thoroughly.
  • Use gel pods or liquid dish detergent over powder. Also consider adding white vinegar or a non-toxic rinse aid to your wash cycle to reduce mineral build-up.
  • For soap residue or water spots (which are most likely mineral deposits from hard water), you can wipe or soak the item(s) with white vinegar and baking soda (1:2 ratio).
  • Baking the mat at 275 degrees for about 45 minutes may also help inactivate the soap esters causing the smell. Note - this recommendation is only for mats; smaller items (cups, utensils, etc.) should not be placed in the oven.
