Straw cups are great alternatives to sippy cups, with a soft straw helping to develop sipping skills. The soft, silicone straw is easy to drink through and little ones don’t have to tip the cup up very far to drink from it. Featuring INTELLIVALVE™, a unique anti-leak technology which guarantees this straw trainer cup is completely leak-proof as it withstands internal pressure meaning the cup won’t leak even when it is turned upside down or shaken. Our unique valve both seals and regulates the flow of liquid to stop leaks and to ensure easy drinking.

With hygiene at the forefront of everyone’s minds our cups add an extra layer of reassurance as the drinking straw contains BACSHIELD™ antimicrobial technology. BACSHIELD™ is a commonly used silver-ion technology that provides antimicrobial product protection against unwanted microbes, recognized for centuries with no harmful effects. It works by preventing the growth of unwanted microbes that can cause product degradation, discoloration, staining or odor. This is achieved with silver ions mixed in the material in the straw*, preventing microbes from multiplying.

*The antimicrobial technology does not protect the user or others against disease-causing organisms. The technology is not a substitute for good hygiene and/or cleaning practices?

Independent laboratory testing demonstrated a 99.9% reduction in microbes after 24 hours. BACSHIELD™ is tested to ISO 22196:2011 standards.

FAQs:

Can I boil it to sterilize it? And does the cup itself come apart?

Thank you for your question about our Superstar Insulated Straw Cup. No, we do not recommend using hot water sterilization, as these cups are only suitable for sterilization by cold water tablet/liquid solution. All the parts of this cup can be disassembled and be washed in the dishwasher but be sure to place them on the top shelf only, and don’t use solvents or harsh chemicals. To avoid stains, do not allow the cup to contact oil-based foods or tomato-based sauces, and to prevent damage, avoid using a brush on the soft part of the valve.
