Childproof Zipper and How to Use?

Childproof zippers also known as "safety zippers," "non-chokable zippers," and "baby zippers" are commonly found in baby products such as clothing, pillow case, and baby nest. Infants and young children are naturally curious to explore with their hands. Childproof zipper are specifically designed to prevent accidental opening of a zipper and its potential consequences such as choking on the fillings, accessing hazardous or toxic items, getting their fingers caught on the zip and many more.
Childproof zippers often do not have a tab or pull on the end of the zipper because this can make it easier for young children to open the zipper. The lack of a tab or pull makes it more difficult for a child to grasp and pull the zipper, reducing the risk of accidental opening. It typically has a locking mechanism that keeps the zipper securely closed until an adult opens it using a separate mechanism, such as a latch or slider. This design helps to ensure that the zipper remains closed around your child.

How to open a childproof zipper?
As childproof zipper do not come with a tab/pull, it requries an extra bit of effort to unzip. To unlock the zipper on your bean bag, you can use a paper clip or a corn cob holder. First, insert the paper clip into the hole where the zipper handle would normally be located. This should allow you to move the zipper up and down and remove the cover for cleaning.
However, it's important to use caution when unlocking the zipper with a paper clip. Do not apply excessive force when inserting the paper clip through the hole, and avoid using lubricants to make it easier to slide in. Also, make sure that the paper clip is inserted through the correct side of the hole to release the zipper. Inserting it through the wrong side will not work.
Important: Remember to remove the paper clip/tool used when you are finished.
