Ezpz mats are self-sealing and cannot be moved by pulling on the plate or bowl. Suction works best on smooth surfaces, such as wood, plastic, marble and glass surfaces. Suction strength may vary on rougher surfaces or surfaces with wholes. Suction will also be poorer if the back of the mat is dirty.
