Why did we choose to use silicone to make que Bottle?

The que Bottle is tested for its high and pure grade silicone quality because we understand that the container that holds your water should be safe. Cleaning Instructions

Give your que Bottle a deep clean before first use. que Bottle’s silicone material can take up to 450 F so the best way to clean is by boiling. Just boil your bottle without the cap in water for 15 minutes and your que Bottle will be ready to go!

Sealing

que Bottle is collapsible and softer than other bottles, so please avoid any squeezing and hold the bottle neck when you tighten the cap to ensure the bottle is sealed properly with enough air to prevent any leaking.

Why is it called que Bottle?
The name “que Bottle” comes from the word queue relating to “next in line to take action”, as we want to encourage others to take action in helping create a community of sustainability in the fight to protect our beautiful planet.

What is que Bottle made of?
There is absolutely no plastic in que Bottle! It’s 100% plastic-free and made of FDA/LFGB approved food grade silicone which is non-toxic and BPA free. Both of our caps are 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. Everything is 100% safe for both you and your environment!

Where is que Bottle manufactured?
Our bottles are designed in California and responsibly made in China, and they are manufactured at the highest quality possible with an FDA/LFGB approved process.

Can I put hot liquids in que Bottle?
Yes! Silicone is safe for hot liquids up to 450°F (230°C). No burning, no melting. However we do not recommend using it for liquid temperatures higher than 140°F (60°C) to avoid burning your hand while holding it.

Can I put it in the freezer?
The que Bottle is made from silicone, which is a material rated for very low and very high temperatures. That said, water expands when frozen, so you shouldn’t fill your que Bottle completely when you freeze it. You can also fit ice cubes into your que Bottle with its wide mouth opening.

Can I put it in the microwave?
DO NOT put your que Bottle in the microwave (unless you want to see a free light show!)

Is que Bottle dishwasher safe?
Yes! que Bottle is completely dishwasher safe. To ensure the best wash, clean your bottle with a scrub brush, then place upside down in the top rack of the dishwasher fully expanded. Since silicone is non-porous it should never get too dirty no matter the beverage!

Does it keep drinks hot or cold for a long time?
que Bottle is not specifically designed to insulate liquids, hot or cold. However, they will still keep your drinks warm or cool for longer than average.

Is que Bottle flimsy to drink out of?
que Bottle is a collapsible bottle, but that doesn’t mean it can’t stand strong! There is a stainless steel embedded mouth piece that creates a firm mouth opening to drink out of. Nothing flimsy about that!

Can I drink out of que Bottle when it is collapsed?
Yes! You can drink out of que Bottle when it is both expanded and collapsed. It makes no difference!

My que Bottle is leaking, what can I do?
que Bottle is designed to be completely leak-proof! If you are having trouble with a slow leak, it’s most likely due to an improper seal. Any squeezing or pressure added to the bottle while sealing the cap will cause the bottle to deform and allow for leakage. It’s important to seal properly by holding the neck of the bottle and closing firmly to create an airtight seal. For more details, see our instruction video here!

How do I make my que Bottle stand properly?
Because of its design and collapsible material que Bottle is flexible and lightweight, and may not have the same support as a conventional bottle. As a specialty item this makes it compact and easy for traveling, outdoors and fitness activities, but it’s generally not recommended for desktop use.

When your bottle is on a flat surface make sure to expand fully, then hold the neck of the bottle while sealing firmly for it to stand upright! Avoid squeezing the bottle body as this will make it take on an unnatural shape.

My que Bottle has a weird taste, how can I fix this?
que Bottle is made of 100% BPA-free food-grade silicone which is taste and odor free. Bottles can take on a temporary taste during the manufacturing process as residuals may collect, but this is why we recommend a deep clean before first use!

Use a scrub brush to clean your que Bottle thoroughly, then boil in water (without the cap) for 15 minutes and let air dry until cool. If you are still experiencing issues with a weird taste, scrub with lemon juice and baking soda and then rinse thoroughly.

Do I need to prepare my que Bottle before first use?
Yes! First things first.. cleaning! We know you’re excited to start using your que Bottle, but it’s important to give an initial deep clean since it’s a personal hygiene product. (see ‘How do I clean my que Bottle?’ below)

How do I clean my que Bottle?
Before first use we recommend using a scrub brush to clean your que Bottle thoroughly, then boiling in water (without the cap) for 15 minutes and letting it air dry until cool. This cleaning helps remove any bacteria or residuals that may have collected on the surface.

For a deeper clean, you can also boil for 15 minutes in water with a tablespoon of baking soda. Then rinse thoroughly and let air dry until cool. Remember que Bottle is also dishwasher safe, and since silicone is non-porous it should never get to dirty no matter the beverage!

How do I keep my que Bottle safe?
que Bottle is the ultimate traveling companion and adventure buddy! It is extremely durable so general wear-and-tear from heat, cold, or impact will not affect it like conventional water bottles. However make sure to be mindful of sharp objects as the silicone material is not cut-resistant. Keep the knives, scissors, and pointy-things far away!

Will there be damage if I collapse my que Bottle too many times?
No. There won’t be any damage caused by frequent collapsing and expanding because silicone is an extremely flexible material. To avoid damage due to improper use, please make sure to take proper care of the bottle and only expand or collapse it with the cap off.

Is que Bottle recyclable?
Yes! The silicone and stainless steel in the bottle are both recyclable at special facilities. Let us know if you are unsure or need help locating one!

What size que Bottle is right for me?
Our 12oz bottle is a perfect option for kids and adults alike. It’s great for walks, running errands, or even going out to eat! It’s always ready when you are! Our 20oz bottle is great for active lifestyles as well as your day to day hustle. Whether you’re out hiking or at the gym, at the beach or traveling abroad, take it with you wherever your heart desires!

Will que Bottle fit in my cupholder?
Yes! Both sizes will fit any standard cup holder, expanded or collapsed. Feel free to take it on the go and put it in your car, on your bike, and of course in the smallest purse or bag you have!

Can I bring que Bottle into music festivals?
Since que Bottle isn’t made of a hard metal it can’t be considered for misuse (a weapon) and therefore is allowed to jam out with you at any music festival!

Can I fly on a plane with my que Bottle?
que Bottle is TSA approved and is allowed to travel with you or in your check on bag. (Don’t forget to empty the water out before you go through airport security!)

How can I maintain a freshwater taste?
Fill que Bottle with equal parts lemon slices or lemon juice and filtered water. Soak overnight, wash rinse thoroughly, then air out to dry. Another way to increase freshness you can also add 1-2 drops of essential oils, wash and rinse your que Bottle thoroughly after use of additives to remove residue. While drinking use filtered water if possible, unfiltered water has bacteria and can cause a stale odor in your que Bottle. Be sure to replace water that has been stagnant in your bottle for several hours, especially in hot, humid environments.
