Brushing alone is not enough!
Oral mucosal surfaces, such as the tongue and throat, are also covered with soft, sticky membranes that bacteria adhere to and multiply. The ratio of the surface area covered by these membranes to the surface area of the teeth is 75% to 25%. Therefore, it is not enough to remove plaque (dental plaque) from the surface of the teeth only with a toothbrush. Please brush your teeth, floss, use mouthwash, and clean your tongue to care for your entire oral cavity!
Surface area ratio of the tongue and throat: 75%
