Kozo Building & Balancing Block Game
Kozo Building & Balancing Block Game is a balancing, build-a-tower game that tests your strategy, dexterity, and concentration. This game consists of a game board, Polycubes, Scoring Tiles, and Balance Cubes.
All scoring tiles must be placed faced down. First, flip open a scoring tile at random to reveal the number (2, 3, 4 or 5). This is the Polycube number that you have to pick to place on the game board (e.g. if you flipped open '4', select any polycube that has 4 cubes pieces to place on the game board). Place a balance cube (mini black cube) on any Polycube on the gameboard. If the tower doesn't tumble after 5 seconds, you get to collect the scoring tile that you flipped open. The number adds to your total score. The player with the most points over three rounds wins the game!
Simple right? Well... Sure, you might think so, at least until you realize - No block can ever be placed on or overhang the center space, AND no block can be placed on top of a balance block. And many more other restrictions that you must adhere to.
As the game goes on, you'll be struggling hard to find a space to stack that's not guaranteed to send the tower toppling over!
Recommended for ages 8+ years.

Game Play
- Players take turns. One turn consists of the following actions:
- Flip open a scoring tile at random to reveal the number (2, 3, 4 or 5). This is the Polycube number that you have to pick to place on the game board (e.g. if you flipped open '4', select any polycube that has 4 cubes pieces to place on the game board). Adhere to Placement Rules when you place the Polycube.
- Place one Balance Cube (mini black cube) on any Polycube already on the Base.
- If the tower stands for 5 seconds, player collects the score tile and the number on it is tabulated into the player's total score.
Placement Rules
- The Base is a layout of eight squares around a center square. Envision this as a tower (with walls you'll be building) around a center "chimney". The chimney can never be blocked.
- Polycubes must only be placed within the eight squares.
- No part of the Polycube may be positioned so that it is on or overhanging the center square.
- Polycubes may not be placed on a Balance Cube.
- Polycubes may overhang a Balance Cube, as long as they aren't directly touching.
- Balance Cubes may be placed on any of the Polycubes already placed. Placement is not limited to the Polycube placed by the player on their turn.
- Balance Cubes may not be placed on another Balance Cube nor under a Polycube.
- The placed Balance Cube may not extend over the edges of the Polycube it is placed on.
- When choosing a Polycube from the stack, you must keep your choice once you have touched it.
- Players may never touch or rearrange the Base or the tower being built.
- 5 seconds after a player finishes a trun, the responsibility for keeping the tower standing shifts to the next player.
End of the Game
The game consists of three rounds.
A round ends when:
- A player causes the tower to topple over, Or
- All the available Polycubes have been placed.
If the tower falls during your turn, you lose your points for that round. After three rounds have been played, the player with the highest total score wins the game.
